Comments from Participant
From Northern Ireland
The contents of the tour were excellent. Unique to this package was the historical content of the museum, the graceful Chanabra performance and strolling the bustling but lesser-known streets of northern Osaka. I felt like I could experience Japanese life authentically, and the Yakiniku experience was one to remember. Conducted by fluent English-speaking guides, there were no communication issues at all. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an authentic Japanese experience away from the tourist traps.

Tamba Sasayama
What is Tamba Sasayama like?
Tamba Sasayama boasts a historic townscape dating back to the Edo period, evoking the nostalgic atmosphere of old Japan. Particularly notable is the Sasayama Castle Town, which flourished as a castle town, featuring cobblestone streets, traditional houses, and historical buildings perfect for historical exploration and strolling.
Surrounded by mountains, Tamba Sasayama is blessed with abundant natural beauty, offering breathtaking landscapes throughout the four seasons. The stunning autumn foliage and vibrant spring greenery are particularly noteworthy, making it a captivating destination for nature enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers.

Why are Tamba Sasayama's black soybean edamame so delicious?
Tamba Sasayama has a high altitude with significant temperature differences between day and night. The cool nighttime temperatures allow plants to store nutrients produced during photosynthesis throughout the day. Moreover, the fertile clayey soil of Tamba Sasayama retains moisture well. It is these unique climatic and soil conditions that contribute to the production of large and delicious edamame beans.

Learning new things and eating delicious food was really great! The atmosphere was welcoming, and I felt grateful to be part of this fun experience. The instructions for making sushi were easy to understand but a bit difficult to execute! However, the staff was kind enough to show us how to shape the sushi properly, and it was a lot of fun.
